This is a list of garden plant varieties listed by Latin name and common name. Inclusion here is by plants that I am familiar with as a landscaper. It is not a complete or exhaustive list. The title "Landscapers palette" comes from the fact that these are the plants that for 95% of the time I would choose from when planning a planting scheme.

Exclusion doesn't always mean that a plant doesn't deserve a place here on merit, it may be because it's uncommon, difficult to get hold of, that I haven't yet got around to including it yet - or of course that it doesn't deserve a place here on merit.
